I consider the word HATE to be a 4 letter word, much like F%&# and S*&$. You get the point I am sure. So I try and not use that word very much. It is fun to try and think of new words like loathe, dislike, despise, etc. Again I am sure you get the point. Where was I? Oh yes...so recliners are something I HATE. It is my opinion that these wonderfully soft, rocking and reclining pieces of furniture are the death of society as a whole. (Am I being too dramatic?)
Why you ask? All it takes is for one to sit in a recliner and they become entranced, especially if in front of a TV. Said recliner almost refuses to let the person get up. I believe they keep the person there and somehow turn the person into a big blob of nothingness all the while rocking and reclining the person into a false sense of rightness. (Sorry, dramatics again).
Said recliner has done this to my hubby Tim. I am considering an intervention with his recliner but don't know how to start the chainsaw. I believe that his fanny has gotten so used to sitting in the recliner that it has permanently molded an area that makes it even more difficult for him to get up.
Tim was given exercises to do every night. A variety of things to do in one of our kitchen chairs to help with strength, balance and specific muscle groups. I repeat, these are to be done in the straight back kitchen chair. So imagine my surprise when I find him doing these exercises in the recliner. AAAGH! We did have a short conversation about why these exercises should be done in the chair, but since he has a self proclaimed medical degree with specialization in physical therapy exercises he continues to do most of them in the recliner.
Watch the papers folks, you may see a headline that reads "LAY Z. BOY MURDERED, WIFE GETS TOILET DUTY FOR LIFE"
Stay Tuned and Thanks for reading!
